“Horizonte” by César Augusto Acevedo in competition at TIFF in the Discovery section!
-We are delighted to announce the selection of our co-production “Horizonte” by Colombian director César Augusto Acevedo in the official competition of the Discovery section of the Toronto International Film Festival.
The film was produced by Inercia Peliculas (Colombia) and Ciné-Sud Promotion (France) and co-produced by Tarantula (Luxembourg) and Quijote Films (Chile). This second feature film by the Colombian director was supported by Film Fund Luxembourg (Aide Cineworld). All the film’s sound post-production was carried out in Luxembourg at Philophon Studios.
“Horizonte” tells the story of two ghosts, a mother and son, searching for the boy’s missing father, in a Colombia ravaged by decades of fratricidal war, on a journey that is as much physical as it is spiritual. It is only through enormous sacrifice that they will repair the fragile ties that bind them and perhaps find redemption…
