Matteo Garrone’s “Io Capitano” in Official Competition at the Venice Film Festival!
-“Io Capitano”, Matteo Garrone’s latest film, has been selected for the Official Competition at the 80th Venice International Film Festival, which runs from 30 August to 9 September 2023.
“Io Capitano” is produced by Archimede Film (Italy) and Rai Cinéma, in co-production with Tarantula. The film has received support from the Belgian federal government’s Tax shelter, Taxshelter.be, ING, ShelterProd, the Centre du cinéma et de l’audiovisuel de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, Wallimage, RTBF, VooBetv, Proximus, MIC (the Italian Ministry of Culture’s Cinema and Audiovisual Centre), the Lazio Region, Canal+, Ciné+, and Logical Content Ventures.
The film is distributed by Paradiso Filmed Entertainment in the Benelux, while international sales are handled by Pathé.
