“Across the sea” by Saïd Hamich Benlarbi selected at the Critics’ Week
-“Across the sea”, Saïd Hamich Benlarbi’s second feature film, will be presented at the Critics’ Week during Cannes Festival 2024 in a special screening. The film is a melodrama set to Raï music and unfolds in five chapters.
Produced by France (Sophie Penson – Mont Fleuri) in co-production with Morocco and Tarantula Belgium, the film was shot over a period of seven weeks, five in Marseille and two in Casablanca in November-December 2023, without interruption.
